Michael Easterling and Jaala Ruffman got their start in the music video industry, writing and directing music videos and short films for top artists and are responsible for launching the careers of many independent artists.
They were given the name, “Dynamic Duo on the Rise” by Huffington Post. Their short film “Album”, was an official selection of the 2018 Malibu Film Festival. Their short film “Grow Up” was an official selection of the LA Shorts Film Festival 2018 and The Beverly Hills Film Festival 2019.
Michael & Jaala recently released their feature directorial debut, the anticipated drama, “Deltopia” starring Luna Blaise, Madison Pettis, Charlie Gillespie, Hart Denton, Will Peltz and Greer Grammer and is Executive Produced by the late Olivia Newton-John. CAA and XYZ handled US rights. Distributed by Lionsgate. Michael and Jaala are currently in development on several film and television projects.
